Daniel Khalastchi is an Iraqi Jewish American poet, educator, and publisher. His most recent book, The Story of Your Obstinate Survival, was awarded the National Jewish Book Award for Poetry and longlisted for the PEN/Voelcker Award for Poetry. Daniel lives in Iowa City where he is the Executive Director of the Office of Writing and Communication at the University of Iowa.
